Today at the farmer’s market I bought 2 oddly shaped cucumbers, 2 hunter’s sausages, 2 of another kind of smoked sausage, a bunch of living lettuce (it had roots on it – I’m keeping it in a bowl of water in the fridge), 30 grade B eggs, and a large hothouse tomato for $13. I resisted lots of good deals because I currently have a lot of food in the house – there will be deals next week. We’d normally eat at the market, but we came home instead and I made sausage and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
