This time, I blended 3/4 cup shredded dessicated coconut with 2 cups warm water for 3 minutes. Then I strained the mixture into a glass jar and blended the solids with another 2 cups of warm water for 3 minutes. I strained this mixture into the same jar and set the solids aside for another use.
This produced a thinner coconut milk similar to this. I found it quite nice for drinking, but it would be too thin for traditional coconut milk uses like Thai curries.
