This week, I skipped cauliflower since it was $3 per head. (Ouch.) I bought onions and carrots at the Chinese market instead of the farmer’s market since they’re less expensive there. I picked up a second flat of eggs that I want to try to keep around for a few weeks – I’ve tried making hard boiled eggs a couple times recently and they’ve been too fresh to peel easily.
- 2 flats grade B eggs ($11)
- 4 heads broccoli (the dogs will eat some of it) and a cucumber (the vendor threw in the cucumber since it was the end of the day) – $2
- savoy cabbage ($2)
